Digital Marketing Manager for EdTech Startup

Edco is a NYC based ed-tech company and an online crowdfunding platform that empowers teachers and students to quickly and cost effectively raise funds for their programs. Edco’s vision is to bring the tools and expertise of fundraising development offices to K-12 schools and educators so they have more time, energy, and funds to do what they love: educating tomorrow's leaders. After spending the past year optimizing our platform and establishing partnerships with national scholastic organizations, we are ready to bring the platform to more educators, schools, and extracurricular programs across the country. Edco is looking for a tech-savvy, data-driven digital marketing professional to build and execute a strategic multi-channel digital marketing plan for the 2017-2018 school year. You will lead all aspects of Edco’s digital acquisition marketing including content marketing, PPC, SEO, and joint-marketing campaigns with our national partners. If successful, this could turn into a full time role.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the entire marketing funnel including content marketing, PPC, SEO, and joint-marketing campaigns with our national partners
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention, targeting both platform users and donors
  • Create a framework for funnel analysis and performance reporting
  • Optimize spend and performance across all paid, earned, and unpaid channels
  • Present regular performance reports to Edco executive team
  • Establish and manage relationships with affiliates and publishers to distribute content
  • Manage Edco’s communication channels including social media, blog, and email

Qualifications:

  • Experience executing digital marketing campaigns and driving measurable results through paid and content marketing programs
  • Highly analytical, entrepreneurial, creative, energetic, and diligent
  • Expertise in testing marketing strategies (esp. Facebook PPC) and conversion funnel optimization
  • Proficient in Google Analytics and other web analytic platforms (e.g. Optimizely, Unbounce), with experience running A/B tests
  • Familiar with best practices for SEO, social media, email marketing and blog writing
  • Proficient in Wordpress (blog), Mailchimp, and Adobe Creative Suite (or similar)
  • Passionate about improving K-12 education and driven to make a difference
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience
  • Experience marketing to K-12 schools or educators is a plus but not required
