The Data Analytics team specializes in conducting data driven, quantitative analysis on behalf of our clients. The data is generated via a mix of creative primary research techniques (e.g., phone surveys, online/web surveys), internal customer databases, and secondary research sources (e.g., financial filings of public companies).
Be able to extract data from various databases, format and clean data.
Generate insights from the data and present in relevant charts and graphs to be incorporated into project reports.
Build simple solutions using programming tools such as VB, Excel Macros and web based technologies.
Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to correct the data.
Analyze and solve issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of data (e.g.: review for accuracy in record merge, unmerge processes).
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Develop and maintain databases and data systems necessary for projects.
Acquire and abstract primary or secondary data from existing internal or external data sources.
Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
Interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings.
Develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results.
Perform basic statistical analyses for projects and reports.
Create and present quality dashboards.
Generate routine and ad hoc reports.
Technical expertise regarding data models and database design development.
Knowledge in relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle and SQL server.
Advanced level knowledge on SQL queries for data manipulation and extraction.
Exposure to data mining and data warehousing technologies would be highly desired.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Experience using SAS, SPSS, or other statistical package is desirable for analyzing large datasets.
Programming skills preferred. Adept at queries and report writing.
Knowledge of statistics, at least to the degree necessary in order to communicate easily with statisticians.
Experience in data mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate.
Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner.
Prior work experience in a similar role is not mandatory, but a clear analytical mindset, the desire to learn and the willingness to work with minimal supervision is an absolute must.
Bachelor’s in Information Management, Information Technology, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
Previous experience in similar capacity – data management or software QA
